Educational workshops on new digital languages to learn and to decrypt using fantasy and playing

From 1st to 9th April Coopselios delivered several digital workshops during “Connessioni Educative” (lit. educational connections), a week of events organised by the Municipality of Scandiano addressing parents, students/pupils and teachers to promote reflection on the impact of new technologies on our daily life.
The laboratories titled “Diving into fantasy worlds between reality and the virtual” took place at the weekends involving families and children between 3 and 11 years of age and during the school hours for almost 1100 pupils from the local kindergartens and primary schools.
Coopselios proposed workshops that were geared at investigating the significance of digital technologies in the everyday life of today’s children and teenagers both as tools and objects and also as real environments and places of creative imagination, in relation to different forms of learning and the development of languages.
The agenda of the week, which was officially opened by Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Region, also scheduled a conference on “Education, teaching and new technologies” with the participation of professors from the universities of Milan and Bologna, the movie “Lo and Behold Internet: Reveries of the Connected World” by Werner Herzog, a show for children titled “Generation 2.0”, and a meeting with psychiatrist Paolo Crepet: a multitude of events conceived for the entire network of educational and school services found in our municipal territory.
